Christian Moms Can Capitalize on the Trump Mandate: Turning Wounded Warriors into Spiritual Warriors for the Golden Age of America

Even as the Trump Administration takes center stage, America is still in a spiritual struggle and there is much work to do. The mandate we gave Trump brings us a lot of hope, mainly because we see the embers of Christianity still a'glow in the largest majority of American hearts.

But if we hope to win our culture back to God, and make a new case for Christianity, we must realize that this is not a job for Trump...it's a job for the Church...and Christian moms can lead the way in capitalizing on that Trump mandate.

In our society, nobody has turned people off to Christianity more than Christians. But, I don't think it is all our fault, either. Let me explain.

I believe that the removal of God from schools and the public square, along with the breakdown of the family from the Baby Boomer generation, was the catalyst that set us up for the spiritual challenges we face today.

When dads started abandoning their families, promiscuity became normalized, and our music and media/entertainment started celebrating it all, mass confusion set in between what was right and wrong and Christian values got trampled.

It set off a domino effect of societal trauma in America, too, which has been very difficult to recover from. So, as we GenX'ers became parents, and the cultural norms became darker, it became a hayday for the enemy. The result: a rudderless society, ripe with depravity, with a plethora of hurting people living in emotional silos.

As we've watched the decline of our families and the values that once binded our country, and as we came closer than ever to losing our country this election cycle, we realize the error of our ways and there is a massive hunger to return to God and American values.

BUT HOW? We have to have more than a desire to return. We need a plan! Or we may end up back here again next election cycle, God forbid. We need transformed voters, not just trendy voters who love Trump. We can't risk it, as the Democrats are already plotting for 2028.

We've been on a long road to here, but a few simple decisions in cooperation with God, is our pathway to healing. If we will choose to let Him heal us, then our strength returns, which is our joy, better positioning us to take back territory.

We must seize this chance to become the strong spiritual warriors we were meant to be, learn to win hearts for God, and be Ambassadors for the return of America's core values.

How Christian Moms Can Capitalize on Trump's Mandate?

With our children and grandchildren constantly in the cross hairs of the enemy, we need to be as healthy and strong as possible to drive this evil back in our culture and shore up all portals. Nobody is more motivated or qualified to do this than a Christian mom.

But, when we are in a weakened state, it's hard to be effective. As we are healing, we begin to step into our spiritual power and we have a confidence in knowing angel armies are standing with us in this battle between good and evil in America. Knowing "Whose" we are changes everything!

Inroads To Healing

Like you, I have walked through deep valleys of hurt and disappointment, especially during tough political seasons. When I ran for State House of Representatives in 2020, it cost me lifelong relationships, including the most painful loss of all, relationship with my adult son.

I realized that the role of a 'wounded warrior' did not benefit me or anybody else. Instead, I have been clinging to God for healing. Here are some practical steps I embraced to begin that journey back to joy:

  1. An Intimate Hello: The moment my eyes open in the morning. I just say, "Good Morning, Lord. Thank you for watching over me in the night. Please open my eyes wider today. I trust You and I love You." Prayer became my morning source of peace and clarity in the chaos.

  2. Getting To Know Him: Just like in our own personal relationships, the more time we spend with someone and learn about their story, the more we feel we know them. God gave us so much insight into His character, His love for us, His purpose for us, and His plans for us in His beautiful Word. When we read it, we are spending time getting to know Him. I look at the Bible as a LOVE LETTER from God now and because He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, there is no challenge we face in this life that He has not given us guidance and healing promises for in that beautiful love letter.

  3. Daily Dialogue: All throughout the day, I am in dialogue with God. We can be intentional about asking Him how He wants us to spend our time today, with a willingness to allow Him to interrupt our own to-do list. Talking softly, under our breath, with Him throughout the day and inviting Him into every decision or response becomes normal rather quickly: "God, give me wisdom" or "God, give me the words".

  4. Creating Space: One of the things that has helped me SO much is being intentional about taking things OFF of my calendar and creating more mental bandwidth. When we are cramming our calendars full, our minds become so noisy, and it drowns out God's whisper of wisdom. I've come to crave that whisper now. It is where clarity can be found.

God's Awesome Drip Campaign

Once we begin to tune the world out and make room for God, our "want to" begins to change. We begin to crave peace more than ever. He is the Prince of Peace, so we crave more of Him. We are now falling in love with Him and learning to trust Him. We are also noticing how blessings are beginning to chase us. God is SO good and He wants us to heal. He is the great physician. He starts rolling out, what I call, the BEST DRIP CAMPAIGN EVER!

Understanding Your Identity

Many of us love watching the pageantry of the royal family in England. Most of us don't realize we are daughters of THE King of Kings. We are of the highest royal bloodline, through Jesus Christ, and surrounded with His favor. When you become aware of the fact that you are spiritual ROYALTY and that you have authority over the enemy, things begin to shift very quickly in your life.

There is a massive humility and responsibility in this awareness, alongside tremendous boldness in how you carry yourself in the world. When you know WHOSE you are, that is true empowerment. In our own strength, we are weak, but when we realize we wield the embodiment of Christ, that is powerful.

Understanding Grace

We've all sung the hymn, Amazing Grace, but do we really understand what grace is? I sure didn't...not until 2009. I went on a powerful women's retreat that was life-changing. I finally had the ephiphany that God's grace is undeserved favor.

When we choose to give our hearts to Him, a spiritual exchange happens. Suddenly, all of our dirty clothes are exchanged for a white robe. God sees us through the filter of Jesus's purity only. We are then written into the Book of Life, the Holy Spirit is sent to guide us daily, and we are granted all the royal privileges that Jesus has. It's astonishing.

Understanding Adversity

I'm seeing now that both the unfair things that happened to me and the wrong turns I took on my own can all be repurposed by God. He wastes nothing. You begin to understand how Romans 8:28 is not some outdated scripture, but how it absolutlely applies to your faith walk today: "All Things Are Working Together For Good for Those Who Love God and are Called According To His Purpose".

I have reached a place where I am actually grateful for the pain, no matter how hard it is/was, because I see how it deepened my intimacy with Jesus, gave me eternal perspective, and developed characteristics in me that can't be developed any other way. I wouldn't trade my painful valleys for 1000 moutain tops. Most of us meet Jesus in the valley.

Breakthroughs

We are often praying for a breakthrough in some area of our lives. I have found that the way I can help facilitate those quicker is to cooperate and obey God. We have a part to play in our breakthrough. It isn't easy, but it's SO worth it! In this portion of this week's episode, I share the steps I have discovered to breakthroughs:

Embracing Trump's Presidency

As we move forward in this new chapter of American history, we have the chance to embrace healing and become the strong spiritual warriors God wants us to be. With the Trump Administration leading the way, the Church has a chance to optimize his presidency.

Let us hold tightly to God's promises, arm ourselves with His truths, and guide our children with love and resilience. Together, we can transition from wounded warriors into vibrant spiritual forces, ready to impact our homes and communities.

Let's welcome this time with enthusiasm, knowing that as Christian moms, we have unique abilities to bring hope and healing to a world that desperately needs it.

Let’s rise together, shining brightly with Christ’s love!

I hope this post lifts your spirits as we embark on this journey together. Embrace this time, share your stories, and let your faith shine!

Let me know in the comments if this resonated with you! I love hearing from you!

Warmly,

Diane
