Trump Inauguration - A Victory Lap Paved with Wisdom

Writer's picture: Diane CanadaDiane Canada

This week has been nothing short of dizzying! Starting off with the long-awaited Trump Inauguration, and then the speed of policy enactments, border crackdowns, press conferences, interviews, rallies, and visits to NC and CA...to call this a comeback would be the understatement of the century. I just can't seem to get my chin off the ground. It is SO validating for so many of us to see the course correction taking shape for our country.

Trump Inauguration

As we've been celebrating, I wanted to draw our attention this week to using wisdom in how we do that. We've all been angry over the last 4 years at the takedown attempt of our country, not to mention Biden's parting pardons on his way out the door, and that anger is justified. Trump's mandate is incredibly validating, as well, as we join hands across this nation to help push the evil back.

But HOW we celebrate can either create opportunites or make us miss some. Let's watch our hearts as we are now in the winner's circle and remember that God gave us a merciful 2nd chance in America to repent and to win more hearts to Him.

People have never been more receptive than they are now to hear us because their own eyes have been watching the hypocrisy and lunacy over the last 4 years. So, let's attract people and not repel them in this moment. Walk out the Fruit of the Spirit with self-control leading the way!

Even though Trump is doing a LOT, he cannot do it all. We, as Christian women and men, need to come alongside him and row with him in our circle of influence. I've said before how we need to capitalize on the momentum, not just sit back and watch him. We need to think like a modern-day Yoda and help guide people we know towards their own ah-ha moment.

Also remember that pointing people to American values, rooted in Christianity, is our main goal. We need to be demonstrating those values and be reminded that we are Ambassadors for Christ. So, no matter how tempting it is this week, don't gloat, point fingers, or tell people how wrong they were. Instead, invite them to join us in this momentous occasion.

CONGRATULATIONS, AMERICA and THANK YOU, GOD, FOR YOUR MERCY!

Here's this week's show to further expand on this and fill in some blanks.
